A native of Bogota, Colombia, Ms. Camargo lived in many regions of the United States before finally setting roots in Texas, at the commencement of her architectural studies at UT Arlington in 1975. She received her Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree from the University of Houston and moved back to the Dallas area taking a position with HKS Dallas. In 1985 after gaining invaluable experience on a variety of projects, Ms. Camargo established her own firm, CaCo Architecture, LLC.
A licensed Architect, Interior Designer and LEED BD+C accredited professional, her project experience with public and private sector clients includes planning and design of various commercial building types throughout the United States. Ms. Camargo is Past President of AIA/Dallas. Since 2006 she has been a member of the Deans Advisory Council for the University of Texas Arlington School of Architecture and is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Dallas Arboretum and the Dallas Center for Architecture. As Founding Principal of CamargoCopeland, Ms. Camargo provides the Firms overall design direction and is responsible for client development and business growth strategy for the firm.
Ms. Camargo is fluent in both English and Spanish.
